Women: There should be recognition and
support both for those women who want to stay in the home
and those who want to participate in the work
force.
Although the
position of women in the nation has improved, the balance
between men and women in terms of equality of employment,
income, and status is still heavily tipped in favour of
men. Changes have to be made to allow women to play a
full part in all aspects of life in their communities and
the work force.
The
Integralist Party would ensure measures to achieve
meritocracy both in political life and in appointments to
all public bodies, including local authorities. We would
set realistic timescales to achieve equality of outcome
in employment structures, education and training and
enact Family-friendly policies in the workplace to
facilitate women returning to work and women in the
workplace.
The
Integralist Party will ensure there is adequate and
permanent funding for state women's organisations and
community-based women-only training programs with
flexible hours and adequate child-care facilities. We
will ensure Women-friendly health-care services, to
include freely available screening for breast cancer and
smear testing for cervical cancer etc. We also support
education initiatives recognised to counter the current
unrealistic portrayal of women in our society authorities
and those working to eradicate violence against
women.
Transport: The Integralist party will
promote the development of an efficient, safe and green
transport system through the Corporation of British
Transport (CBT headed by the relative sub comities of
Road, Rail and Air). We want the Railway system itself
re-nationalised and favour massive investment in our
railway infrastructure. The CBT committees will
investigate and put into action all new technologies to
improve movement and make that movement greener and
cleaner. The CBT would assess the viability of new
electric mono rail networks, trams in cities and towns,
high-speed magnetic levitation, inter-city rail network,
ect. Public transport should be an integrated system; we
will build interconnecting monorail and tram routes to
all railway and bus stations, and ensure that every
substantial town has a train station. We would re-open
our canals as an economic and more
environmentally-friendly means to transport goods across
the country. We shall also reinvigorate our rail freight
system - a far more efficient means of transporting goods
than the roads.
All public
forms of transport will become nationalised. The canals
will be cleaned and used as a form of pleasure for the
British people and goods transport. The labour service
and youth organisations will be given the task of keeping
these canals clean and that they are running to full
potential. To address the problem of congestion within
many towns and cities we will encourage the use of
alternative methods of transport, such as bus or rail, by
making them cheaper and more economical as opposed to
restrictions and fines upon the
motorist.
Many people,
especially women are put-off using public transport, due
to their worries about personal security. We would
re-introduce Conductors to our public transport system.
These Conductors or Transport Security Officers as they
would be known would be trained to intervene in
problematic situations and have direct radio link not
only to the driver of the vehicle, but to members of the
Constabulary who would be summoned if needed. This would
ensure a level of security that would benefit all of our
Citizens.
Tax: The Integralist Party would install
a Swedish model taxation system that combines a direct
tax (paid by the employee) with an indirect tax (paid by
the employer). In practice, the employer provides the
state with both means of taxation, but the employee only
sees the direct tax on his declaration form. Tax on gross
income from the employer: 32.82% (indirect, fixed),
pension fee on gross income: 6.95% (indirect, fixed),
municipal tax on gross income less pension tax and a base
deduction: ~32% (direct, varies by municipality), state
tax on gross income less pension tax and a base
deduction: 0%, 20%, or 25% (direct,
progressive).
This style of
tax system includes many direct and indirect taxes and
contributions. The most important direct taxes are the
national and local income taxes and the national tax on
capital. Indirect Tax has two main sources: value-added
tax and excises on duties. Tax legislation is passed by
Parliament; but the local authorities are at liberty to
set the income tax rates in their respective
municipalities and county council
districts.
Foreign
Lorries will pay to use our motorways, this will be
collected by customs officers at a set rate depending on
the time they are in the UK, fuel tax will be levied on
diesel/petrol in the Lorries tanks when they arrive, cars
will not be affected. Road Tax will be used to build
roads, using UK firms, underground car parks and
interchanges for monorail, bus and train links. All
aircraft flying to or over the UK will pay a green tax,
(to be announced).
Land owners
and tenant farmers to be taxed per acre of unproductive
land, (to be announced) this will encourage tree planting
and food production. A limit on interest rates for credit
cards and loan agreements to be set at 4 times the bank
of England base rate. We will introduce an estate agents
yearly license fee to be introduced (to be announced) and
a 5% tax on profits. Supermarket tax of 1.5% of gross
profits to allow town shop regeneration, this tax allows
local businesses to have low rates which will make them
more competitive.
Car tax
dropped to £52 for vehicles up to 1.69 litres, cars above
this to 2.29 litres will pay £350, any vehicle above this
will pay £500, Lorries will be taxed by the tonnage
carried, and every ton will be £100. An entry tax will be
introduced for anyone entering the UK of £15, this will
be used to fund alternative state projects. The lottery
will be taken over by the government and ran on an all
ticket system similar to the continental style; tickets
will have name and address
included.
Our economy
will be strengthened by our proposed trade links with
countries of the former commonwealth, Canada, Australia,
New Zealand to name but a few.
We would seek
to restore the link between prices and pensions to bring
our retired populations income to be broadly in line with
comparative pensions paid on the continent. We would move
the taxation base away from direct taxation to a more
consumer orientated taxation thus under our proposals VAT
would be scaled back to a modest 7.6% purchase tax on all
goods and items except medicines and foods, feminine
hygiene products and baby products. The state would
subsidise the costs on domestic organic, ecological foods
so it becomes more affordable to the average
family.
This tax
initiative is to coincide with the overall policies of
the Integralist Party to be fully
realised.
Public Holidays: Under an Integralist
government our public holidays would be held on dates
that are relevant to our Great British history. They
would represent a celebration of famous military
victories, combined with dates of cultural and spiritual
importance, which have been celebrated throughout the
ages in our great nation. St.George's day would be a
public holiday within England, with the other home
nations celebrating their own particular national day
i.e. St.Andrew's Day in Scotland, St.David's Day in Wales
and St.Patrick's Day in Northern
Ireland.
These national
holidays would promote our history and culture past and
present, ensuring our future generations value and never
forget the courage and valour of our forefathers in the
building of our nation, so they can carry on bearing the
torch of national victory and
freedom.
The Royal family: The royal crown shall
be upheld on the basis of historic continuity and
national heritage. Though the Integralist Party would
like to see a revaluation of the ownership of the crown
lands, all the splendour that is royal they shall keep as
long as they keep their status honourable and regal in
the eyes of the people.
